Tropical Shipping Public Statement Concerning Relief Efforts in Haiti
January 13, 2010 -- We are working to assist relief agencies, government agencies and other carriers in Haiti to provide as much assistance and advice as possible based on our knowledge of disaster recovery. Tropical Shipping does not have an existing service to Haiti nor representation in the area. We believe from past experience of recovering from disasters that the most beneficial way to ensure swift and certain help to the people of Haiti is to allow the established agencies and carriers serving Haiti to do what they do best.
Tropical is working with the organizations that can provide the best and fastest assistance to the people of Haiti, and we encourage others to funnel all donations through their local relief agencies. Tropical is cooperating with the following organizations;
