To help Florida residents get ready for hurricane season, the 2020 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday was passed by the Florida Legislature and signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis.
The sales tax holiday begins May 29 and extends through June 4.
During the sales tax holiday period, qualifying items related to disaster preparedness are exempt from sales tax.
Although many retailer exempt exports from Sales Tax, some do not! This exemption also includes online purchases!
