Flat Rack Out of Gauge Cargo – Loading Update for Lumber, Plywood and Rebar

At Tropical Shipping, safety is our #1 Priority.

To protect our employees, customers and equipment, all flat racks loaded with lumber, plywood, drywall and rebar, must be loaded in gauge; cargo must not exceed the flat rack’s length, width, or heights and the front and back posts must be in the “up” position.

If the cargo cannot fit in gauge, Tropical will suggest that the cargo is loaded on a 40’ flat rack and spread out accordingly.

Failure to comply with the above will result in rework and additional charges will apply.

Tropical Shipping values the close relationships we have built with our customers throughout our more than 50-year history. Thank you for choosing us as your carrier of choice to The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
