Tropical Shipping Port of Palm Beach Hurricane Ian Update

Tropical Shipping continues to monitor the passage of Hurricane Ian.

  • The United States Coast Guard has set the port condition to Zulu as of 10:00 am today, September 27, 2022.  *Hurricane Port Condition ZULU means condition set when weather advisories indicate that sustained gale force winds (39–54 mph/34–47 knots) from a tropical or hurricane force storm are predicted to make landfall at the port within 12 hours.

     

  • The Port of Palm Beach Gate is closed to all inbound and outbound traffic. Tropical Shipping Port Operations and Maintenance departments are closed until Thursday, September 29, 2022, and will recommence operations once given the all-clear from the Coast Guard.

     

  • The Riviera Beach LCL Warehouse and TL Receiving locations will be closed tomorrow, September 28, 2022.

     

  • The Miami facilities and LCL warehouse remain open and will have receiving hours from 8:00am until 4:30pm.

     

  • All vessels scheduled to depart September 27 and 28, 2022, will depart on Thursday, September 29, 2022, once given the all-clear from the Coast Guard.

     

  • Due to the closure of the Port of Palm Beach, Tropical Shipping will not be spotting or picking up any containers on September 27 and 28, 2022.
