To continue delivering the highest quality, on-time shipping services, Tropical Shipping will implement a General Rate Increase (GRI) for shipments from the Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Belize, Canada, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Leeward Islands, South America, Turks & Caicos, or Windward Islands to Guyana, effective October 20, 2024. This increase is a result of the local crane surcharge introduced at the Georgetown port to support the operation of the new shore cranes. The introduction of these new cranes will support Guyana’s growth and development.
