Tropical Shipping continues to monitor the path and intensity of Hurricane Milton.
We wish to advise our customers of the following updates:
- The US Coast Guard has closed the Port of Palm Beach interchange effective 5.00 PM today. After closure, refrigerated cargo will not be picked up until the Port of Palm Beach reopens.
- South Florida dispatch will operate until noon tomorrow for spotting empty dry and refrigerated containers, and will only pick up dry containers.
- Palm Beach Cold Storage, Rack Receiving and Vehicle Receiving will close at 3:00 PM today and be closed until the Port of Palm Beach reopens.
- Today’s vessel departures to Nassau, Turks and Caicos and the Cayman Islands will be combined with their respective sailings later in the week.
- Tomorrows sailings to Freeport, St Thomas, St Maarten, Antigua, St Kitts, Nevis, Dominica and St Vincent will be delayed until the Port of Palm Beach reopens.
- The West Palm Beach LCL warehouse will be open for deliveries until noon tomorrow, October 9, 2024.
- There will be normal operations at the Miami LCL warehouse tomorrow, October 9, 2024.
- There will be no FEC rail departing from Jacksonville, FL. to the Port of Palm Beach this evening. Tropical Shipping will advise once this service recommences.
Tropical’s Customer Care department remains open regular business hours to assist our customers.
Tropical Shipping will send out updated information tomorrow at 5:00 PM regarding Thursday operations.
Demurrage billing in the United States will be suspended at 5:00 PM today until the Port of Palm Beach reopens.
