Tropical Shipping announces increase to charges for opening packages, effective June 30, 2024.
If a Shipper tenders LCL non-hazardous cargo to Carrier or Carrier's Agent and at a subsequent time prior to sailing the Shipper/Consignee requests the Carrier open a package or packages for the purpose of obtaining a Packing Slip, verifying Piece Count, etc., the Carrier will charge per piece opened.
Package(s) will only be opened upon Shipper’s/Consignee's submission of a completed Hold Harmless Agreement which will be made available upon Shipper's/Consignee's written request to the Carrier.
