The United States Coast Guard has made updates to the Hazardous Materials Guidelines for the Puerto Nuevo Terminal:
Please be advised that Hazard Class 6.1 will be permitted at the Puerto Nuevo Terminal, provided it is not classified as an inhalation hazard (Hazard Zones under 49 CFR).
Class 6: Toxic Substances and Infectious Substances
Class 6 covers all toxic substances (also known as poisonous substances) that cause serious injury or death through inhalation, ingestion, or skin contact. Some examples of materials with acute toxicity include pesticides, cyanides, and lead compounds.
