Tropical Storm Imelda-Update

Tropical Shipping is closely monitoring the path of Tropical Storm Imelda.

 

Please be advised of the following closures and schedule changes for Monday, September 29 and Tuesday, September 30, 2025:

  • The Nassau arrival of the Tropic Tide, voyage 1892, has been delayed 24 hours and will now arrive on Tuesday 8:00am
  • The Tropic Tide will depart the Port Of Palm Beach at 3:00pm on September 29, 2025. Our regular Wednesday and Friday arrivals remain on schedule.
  • The Marsh Harbour sailing of the Tropic Night, voyage 3056, has been delayed an additional 24 hours and will now sail on Wednesday.
  • The Freeport Sailing of the Tropic Mist voyage 5056, has been delayed an additional 24 Hours and will now sail tentatively on Tuesday evening.
  • Tropical Shipping’s offices in Freeport and Marsh Harbour will be closed Monday September 29, 2025, the Nassau office will be remain on a skeleton crew for emergency and essential cargo only.

Key Messages for Tropical Storm Imelda

Advisory 5:00 AM Monday, September 29, 2025.

  

  • Imelda is expected to continue to bring tropical storm conditions to portions of the northwestern Bahamas today.
  • Rainfall associated with Imelda will continue to impact eastern Cuba and the Bahamas through Tuesday, which will likely produce flash and urban flooding. Mudslides are possible in the higher terrain. Heavy rainfall across the coastal Carolinas could cause isolated flash and urban flooding through Tuesday.
  • Interests in Bermuda should monitor the progress of Imelda as a Hurricane Watch could be required late today
  • Swells and high surf from both Humberto and Imelda are expected to produce dangerous marine conditions and rip currents along the east coast of Florida and Georgia coast today. These conditions are expected to spread northward along much of the east coast of the United States early this week.
