We continue to monitor the intensity and path of Hurricane Matthew, the most powerful storm of the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
- Due to the storm our sailing to Nassau tomorrow, Tuesday, October 4 is cancelled.
- The Nassau port will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. It will re-open Friday morning, October 7.
- Our vessel will sail from the Port of Palm Beach on Thursday, October 6 and arrive in Nassau Friday, October 7.
The 8 AM advisory from the National Hurricane Center states that Matthew is moving towards the north at near 6 miles per hour. A general northward motion is expected through Tuesday. On the forecast track, the center of Matthew will approach Jamaica and southwestern Haiti tonight, and eastern Cuba tomorrow. Currently a dangerous category 4 hurricane, Matthew’s maximum sustained winds are near 130 with higher gusts. Matthew is expected to remain a powerful hurricane through early Wednesday.
